The standards of the EN ISO 3834 series define the quality requirements for the manufacturer and the principles ensuring the quality of welded products.

The initial certification, carried out by OTC Bulgaria , takes place in two stages. The first stage determines the conformity of the documentation with the requirements of the relevant part of EN ISO 3834. The second stage, the on-site audit, aims to verify how the requirements of the relevant standard from the EN ISO 3834 series are applied in your company.
If compliance is established between the requirements and their application in the execution of welding processes, we will issue you a certificate with a validity period of 3 years. In the second and third years, our experts conduct the so-called surveillance audits. Their number during the validity of the certificate depends on the level of certification, the scope, and the results of the certification audit.
EN ISO 3834 distinguishes three different levels of welding quality: "Comprehensive", "Standard", and "Elementary". Our experts will advise you on which level is most suitable for your business.
The "standard" level requires a quality management system – it can be in the form of a manual or written procedures. The interaction between processes is checked. All other requirements correspond to EN ISO 3834-2.
This level does not require a Quality Management System. A welding coordinator is not required. The manufacturer must prove their knowledge and define the responsibilities for the welding process in writing. Welders and operators must hold valid certificates.
