Organization for Technical Conformity
EMC Directive 2014/30/EC establishes the essential requirements for electromagnetic compatibility of electrical and electronic equipment. It defines the parameters for the electromagnetic emissions of equipment to ensure that it does not disrupt the proper functioning of other devices in the presence of electromagnetic interference.
Directive 2014/30/EC is applied to eliminate any interference caused by interactions between devices (which can cause abnormal operation or failure) and to ensure the free movement of products, equipment, and machines.
The manufacturer/importer/distributor must prepare a technical file containing documentation necessary to demonstrate the conformity of the product, namely:
OTC provides its expertise to manufacturers of EMC equipment who wish to certify their products by using the services of a competent body recognized at the European level, according to procedure Annex II. As a result of the conformity assessment of the equipment with the applicable essential requirements performed by OTC, a Certificate of Conformity is obtained. This certification assessment provides assurance to manufacturers and importers that they are putting safe equipment into operation and on the market. In this way, they create greater confidence in their products and have a more successful competitive advantage in the market.
